NESAY Trivia Night

The NESAY Trivia Night was held on the 7th of April 2017. The event was held to raise awareness and needed funds for our young people who are or are at risk of homelessness.

The event was a great success, with over 100 people in attendance. A few were disgruntled with the questions, which were sourced from The Chaser… But some of us wonder if this is in conjunction with their final tally….?

Funds raised from this event has allowed us to provide items to young people in their time of need. All funds raised have gone towards:

• Coles & Myer Group Gift Cards (Used to purchase food)
  
  • Coles vouchers are spent with the young person and worker together. Some of the reasons for this include:
    • Ensuring the young person is making healthy decisions
    • A chance for the young person to learn about grocery shopping, budgeting and healthy eating
    • Another opportunity for a Case Worker to engage with their young person
• 3 Swags were purchased for our young people
  
• 15 Food Packs
  • Food packs include staple food with long shelf life
  • These are provided to young people in a crisis situation, too help get them through until things settle
